Welcome to IRHSCA

Islamic Research and Humanitarian Service Center of America (IRHSCA) is a private, nonprofit (501C) academic and cultural institution, concerned with general issues of Islamic thought. The institute was establish in the United States of America on 1 Ramadan 1421 (November 27, 2000). The center is located in the heart of Capital Heights, MD about two blocks from the Capital Heights metro station on the blue line. IRHSCA is governed by a SHURA board that meets regularly to discuss various issues affecting the community.



IRHSCA will observe Eid Monday the 28th. The Eid prayer will be begin at IRHSCA at 9:30, please bring your prayer rugs. Following Eid prayer there will be festivities on the premises for the family up until 3 pm. This is to include a selection of moon bounces, train, face painting, pony rides, a clown, basketball, spalsh zone (please bring towels for your kids), food etc.. While all of our Eid festivities are FREE we welcome donations to help cover the cost of this joyous day. Please follow the parking regulations we will have set up for that day, with no parking on the premises but plenty of lots available for parking.

Fundraising Dinner

Join us for our 14th annual fundraiser!! This years theme is planting seeds for the next generation, featuring speakers such as Talib Abdul-Samad, Shiekh Azzam Abdel-Karim, Comedian Said Durrah and Shiekh Abdul-Rahman Yaki. This event will take place from 7-11 pm with doors opening at 6:30 @ PG Ballroom located at 2411 Pinebrook Ave, Landover MD 20785. Tickets are $35 per individual until Aug. 1st then will go to $50. At the door tickets are $60. Until Aug. 1st we will be offering couples tickets for $60 so get your tickets early to take advantage of the special. For ticket purchase click here

Sisters Halaqa

The sisters halaqa will be held on July 12, 2014 from 2-4 pm and will be presented by sister Aneesah. The topic is Who is Allah?.
